As The Seasons Change
As the seasons change, customers should change the batteries in their carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. Customers are advised by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to make sure all the alarms in their homes are working and to take preventative measures against fires, such as cleaning the dryer vents. Create these yearly rituals to prevent fatalities.

- Near all sleeping areas
- On every level of your home
- Near attached garages
- Between 5 and 20 feet from fuel-burning appliances and fireplaces
- According to the manufacturer’s recommendations
